Hello followers! I heard some great things about Sydney making me want to leave my home town of Western-Super-Mare in England, and visit Australia. Here are some of the places in Sydney I have on my to-visit list, some of which I have already been to:

Happy Australia Day!



Hi everyone! It's Australia Day and ventured outside of Sydney for a quick holiday. But there's nothing quick about this place. In fact, it's been building up (and down) for 340 million years! These strange formations are living crystals (made from calcite and aragonite) which grow approximately 1cm every 100 years...

This place holds a lot of historic significance for Australia and is truly unique in this world. The area is quite extensive and it's possible to get lost in here. Skeletons of lost animals have been found... I hope you can find me!

Hello all! Willy here again. As you know, I'm Wally's lesser know twin... see this video and you will know just why I've let him take the limelight.... He's even tried to cover his identity by moving to America and changing his name to Waldo! (We're originally from the UK) Sometimes, I feel sorry for him but usually I'm busy traveling and discovering Sydney. Maybe I'm not famous because Australia is so well hidden and cut off from the rest of the world that no one can find me!


                                                        No one has commented that they've found me yet....

Yeeeha! Just stepped off the train and now heading down to the street level. There's quite a lot of action round here tonight, buskers and street performers doing amazing stunts like breathing fire and and what not. I have decided to take a night trip to one of Sydney's historic areas. Heading down the main road I notice many shops, pubs and places to eat on the sides of the street, as well as a walkway next to the harbour on my right, and some old looking buildings. I continue down the main road until I reach the 'Australian', a pub, where I stop and enjoy a nice cold beer, and some live music. I then do a loop and up a hill till I see a park just under a bridge.Somewhere else in the area find a place where i can take a 'ghost' tour of the so called 'haunted' areas of this historical area, Yikes! What was that? Where am I?

Well followers, I've been around the place a bit, and today I decided to take another trip to Sydney's North Shore. I alighted the train, left the train station and am now approaching a sort of corso/arcade type place with many shops either side. There is a pub to my left called 'The Orchard'. Following the corso down I arrive at a new building on one side of the street and a Westfield shopping centre on the other side. Not wanting to shop today i decided to take a walk past the Mandarin centre and onto another street back near the train station where I discovered a memorial rose garden. I spent some time there pondering the world and such when I realised that I must be on my way again. Where am I?

Phew! I just got off a hot, stuffy train, with about 70 others, at a pretty big station. But just out of the station is this "Town Square", with its abundance of big leafy trees, and nice, shaded seating , surrounding a substantial classic-looking fountain-- quite a little haven for us weary travelers, before we take on the massive array of Asian eateries, grocery stores and cafes. If you can speak Korean, you'd feel very much at home here. After a few questions as to the origins of the steady flow of school uniforms in and out of the Plaza, I was told that there are no less than 6 prestigious private schools in this suburb, as well as 3 large (1200 student) state high schools, a university, a teacher-training institute, and a veritable abundance of smaller private colleges, tutoring in school subjects, as well as languages (though judging from what I'm hearing around me, not enough English...). Regardless, it's a great meeting spot, a pleasant place to relax and has all your basic necessities.

"I've been so busy traveling all over Sydney.....This morning I traveled on the train. It was a very busy station, although it's fairly new. Most people seemed to work within offices or study adult education, as they were dressed in business suits or carrying laptops and textbooks. This area is said to be the center of the business district besides Sydney City. I am meeting my brother, Wally for lunch at the main shopping center and then going to play a game of golf. This suburb is located in a convenient position, as its has easy access to motorways and main roads to Sydney City, the Hills district and Northern suburbs."

“Hi back again…What a glories ferry ride from the city, feeling a little hungry though, and thinking about having fish and chips for lunch. As I step off the wharf the smell of sea water and the odd sight of the seagulls, makes me think I’m close to the beach. I notice a building to my left that looks like a main attraction for tourist and children. I take a short walk through the corso passing trendy boutiques, cafes and restaurants. I spot an art and crafts stall in a lane way, could be an outdoor ‘s market, must remember that on my way back. As I order my lunch and cross the road to the beach, a young boy pulls his head out the car window, waving a flag and yells “Go Eagels,” What a busy destination.”

Guess where I am...I have ventured down a long and winding road, until I have reached a toll booth. To my right there was a road leading down to a sandstone statue of a Sphinx, to commemorate those who lost their lives in the great war of 1914-1918 (soldiers trained for the war in Egypt, thus the Sphinx). I passed the toll booth and, following a long and winding road for about 4 kilometres, I found myself at the bay, plenty of boats and places to fish, a marina and a few cafes. Which place would I be at? (ps: it is a national park, but which one?).

“Wow…..This will be my first destination, are you ready to guess where I am!   It’s the 23^rd of January and I’ve just stepped off the train into the south-west Sydney. This suburb is alive with drumming and the colour red. I’ve been told this suburb’s name is an Aboriginal word for “fresh tasty water grub.” As I stroll the streets, I’m amazed by the number of small family business and the lack of car space for the number of people residing here. The community has a real ethnic feel and majority of the people living here are born overseas.  Oh… it’s now a couple of minutes to midnight…..I got to run, the fireworks are about to start”

“Hey there readers! My name is Willy. You may know my twin brother Wally. He is identified by his red and white striped beanie and shirt, and his blue trousers.
